After a night in Michiana where the low was about 25 degrees, a forecast of clear skies and a 50-degree high for Sunday afternoon prompted a last-minute mountain bike outing.
Eight of us met at the beach parking lot near the mountain bike trail-head in Potato Creek State Park. Our mountain biking experience and gear ranged from expert to newbie. Total time at the park, including the approximate 7.5-mile ride, was about 2 hours. We went at a leisurely pace with several stops, just enjoying the beautiful fall weather and friendly company.
This event was a great example of how simple planning an outing can be…
- See something that looks like fun
- Pick a meetup time and place
- Share it with the group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/southbendadventureclub/)
- Make it happen!
